Information we handle
We handle information you give us and information created as you use c:me, including:
- Account details and identifiers from your sign-in provider. If you choose Google sign-in, Google and our authentication provider process information needed to authenticate you.
- Profile details such as your display name, date of birth, gender, location, bio, interests, and connection goals.
- Your personality quiz answers and the archetype and personality results derived from them.
- Your discovery preferences, passes, connections, matches, messages, reports, feedback, and notification settings.
- If you enable web push notifications, the push subscription information needed to send notifications to your browser.
- Basic technical and usage information used to operate, secure, and understand the service. The site also uses Vercel Analytics.
Essential browser storage may be used to keep your sign-in session and preferences working. You can control push permission through your browser or device settings.
How we use information
We use information to:
- create and maintain accounts and profiles;
- calculate personality results and suggest connections;
- show profiles, matches, and conversations to members;
- deliver the notifications you have enabled;
- respond to feedback, investigate reports, and support safety;
- protect, troubleshoot, and improve c:me.
The personality quiz is for connection and self-reflection. It is not a clinical or psychological assessment.
What other members can see
To make discovery work, some profile details—such as your display name, age, gender, city or country, bio, interests, and archetype—may be shown to eligible members. Your exact date of birth is used to calculate your age and is not shown in discovery. Messages are shared with the other participant in that conversation. Only add information to your profile or messages that you are comfortable sharing.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect members. We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, though no online service can guarantee absolute security. Some information may remain for a limited time in backups or records needed for safety, legal, or operational purposes.
Your choices and requests
You can edit profile details and notification preferences in c:me, and you can turn off browser push notifications in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your information.
c:me currently has no self-service account deletion control. To ask about an access, correction, or deletion request, contact us through cme.world.support@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.
Children
c:me is for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create a profile. If you believe a minor is using c:me, contact us through cme.world.support@gmail.com.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as c:me changes. We will update the date at the top when we do. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide notice through the service where appropriate.
